Hello! I'm a lit major turned tech policy researcher and advocate.
I'm also a Bangladeshi-Kansan, former Googler, and amateur baker.
I'm trying to chew less gum.
• Research and analyze technology policy issues for papers, regulatory filings, articles, and conferences. Areas of focus include: privacy and cybersecurity, technology in the developing world, open software and freedom of expression, technology and corporate responsibility, broadband pricing and adoption.
• Publications include: ”The Cost of Connectivity” (policy paper, published by the New America Foundation), “Don't Forget Radio in Push to Use Mobile Technology in Developing Countries” (article, published by Slate), “Issue Brief: Data Caps and Competition” (policy brief, to be published by the New America Foundation)

• Researched the links between technology policy and economic development. Areas of focus included: copyright and intellectual property, consumer privacy, and location based media.
• Teaching Assistant to Dean Nicholas Lemann.
• Collaborated with Professor Zittrain and other researchers on tech policy projects, with a focus on the implications of ubiquitous computing.
• Consistently exceeded revenue and client feedback expectations, left to accept scholarship at the London School of Economics.
• Worked closely with small businesses to identify media goals and challenges, collaboratively shape solutions and drive strategic new media and online exposure initiatives. Used a variety of digital tools to restructure and build out online advertising campaigns.
• Winner, Google Grants Basecamp Award. Awarded for supporting the largest number of non-profits with online exposure. Coordinator, Google Grants Blog. Coordinated and edited posts for the external Google Grants Blog (googlegrants.blogspot.com), Google’s main hub of information for non-profits seeking new media help.
• Assisted with news research, used editing programs to prepare audio and video clips for broadcast, logged live feeds.
